Who is Bo-Peter?
Hi! My name is Bo-Peter and this is my blog. I started this blog in 2013 as a way to stay in contact with friends and family while I travelled and worked abroad. Now this blog serves as an online resource for entrepreneurs and growth marketers.
My Purpose
My purpose is to channel my empathy and compassion to support and inspire others to embrace their own growth and contribution. To that end, I work with companies who contribute to personal growth and good causes.

My Marketing Story
My marketing career started in 2013. I just graduated from the Political Science program at a great college. Now I was in a remote desert town in Rajasthan, India. I ended up there in an attempt to follow my life’s core notion that I wanted to help others. So I took my first internship to work at a development non-profit.
I quickly realized the non-profit needed a better website to get more donations. That’s when I searched Google for “how to build a website”. And so I learned WordPress, and began my marketing journey.
At the same time, I started this blog write about my travels. It was my to keep in touch with family and friends scattered around the globe.
For 6 months, I worked my butt off in the middle of a lonesome desert. At the end of it, I decided two things. I’d never work for free again. I was just about broke and in debt from college, as I spent all my savings working this unpaid internship.
And second, I realized that I couldn’t just go around the world in an attempt to “help” people who were worse off than me. But I still wanted to help. I just needed to find my way.
From Government to Start-Ups to Freelancing
After returning from India, I secured a contract job at the Consulate General of the Netherlands in San Francisco. In the year that I worked there, I was truly exposed to start-up and Silicon Valley culture.
Part of my role supported Dutch startups seeking relationships with Big Tech and VC investors. I prepared these businesses by combing through their pitch decks, and helped host the startup pitch events through San Francisco and the Valley.
